i tried the manual vehicle entry and failed again to register key. so at first i just replaced the smart key (certification ecu)which i did now have good communication and was able to ck for codes ect in this module) then after trying to program key unsuccessfully i then replaced the steering lock ecu (all new factory Totota parts) still unable to redigester keys keeps saying failed i get one beep then the bar graf on (autel im 508) gets to the end (no 2nd beep) and says failed i tried another unlocked refirbished key same thing, here is the toyota hint below i tried because i did with techstreem because i did go over the 10 times with key on. I also talked to a very creditable source (programmer, eprom instructor for one of the big key suppliers techsupport) that there was no need to replace the steering lock ecu. Register new keys on a all keys lost situation which when I got to vehice had no comunication with certification ecu(smart key) so after looking at Toyotas publications doc id#RM…VFQ7 on pages 3 and 4 says to replace certification ecu and steering lock ecu, following is the register “A” steps in this publication….
